While his preceding album relied heavily upon hitmaker Ovy On the Drums for its musical components, EL PEOR HOMBRE DEL MUNDO switches primary production duties to his Cali-based familiars Los Money Makers. Naturally, that gives this companion record a considerably different feel than its previously released counterpart, though when considered as a whole, it maintains a certain coherence of vision. From the riveting reggaetón of “QUE LE DE” and “PROVÓCATE” with Cris MJ to the trap-adjacent R&B of “AGUA BENDITA” with rapper GeezyDee and “SORNERO,” he exhibits a keen understanding of his craft. Embracing a sort of supervillain arc on opener “MENTE POSITIVA,” he acknowledges his origin story while basking in stardom. Ever the ladies’ man, he transforms into a dancehall don for the retro reggae romantics of “MACDONALDS” with Kybba and indulges his desires in full on closer “QUÉ LÍO.”
