Slippers

Slippers is another in a long happily unbroken string of indie pop bands who mix together sunny melodies, peppy playing, emotionally honest lyrics, and voices that are unadorned by mystery or artifice. The band is the work of Madeline BB and she clearly has spent time studying all the indie pop, noise pop, and power pop greats and obscurities from around the globe and throughout time, and this love and knowledge come through in her music. 2024's So You Like Slippers? leans a little bit in the pop-punk direction, but 2026's Slippers 08 is unalloyed noisy indie pop through and through.
